Tom Alberg is a member of the boards of directors of Active Voice Corp., Advanced Digital Information Corp. (ADIC), Amazon.com, ConnexT, Emeritus
Corp., Mosaix, Teledesic Corp. and Visio Corp.
Tom is the former president
of LIN Broadcasting Corp., which owns and operates
cellular communication systems in New York, Los Angeles,
Dallas and Houston, and former executive vice president
of McCaw Cellular Communications.
Tom has also served as partner and chairman of the executive committee for Perkins Coie, the largest law firm in the Pacific Northwest, where
he specialized in advising companies and investment firms on corporate and financial matters. Prior to joining Perkins Coie, he was a lawyer with
Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City.
Tom is chairman of Discovery Institute and vice chairman of the Technology Alliance. He serves on the board for the Pacific Science Center, the University
of Puget Sound and Classic KING-FM. He is a former chairman of the Business Law Section of the Washington Bar Association and former president of the
Intiman Theater.
He graduated cum laude from
Harvard University in 1962 and earned a law degree from
Columbia University Law School in 1965, where he was
also an editor of the Law Review.

Tom Simpson has 12 years of experience as a venture capitalist and investment
banker serving Northwest businesses. Prior to joining NVA, he served as managing director in Dain Bosworth's Seattle-based investment banking group.
In that position, he was involved in raising more than $350 million for several of the Northwest's most successful emerging companies.
Tom serves on the board of directors of AdRelevance, Confirma, Netpodium, Sur La Table and Cataldo Catholic School. He is treasurer of the Washington
State Venture Capital Association and is on the board of trustees for the Spokane Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a former director of Packet Engines
and an independent judge for Ernst and Young's Northwest Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Banquet.
A certified public accountant, Tom holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Washington and master's
degree in business administration from the Wharton School of Business.

Ltd., Silicon Graphics and Xerox. Most recently, he oversaw the business
plan, strategic relationship and sales development at Simba Technologies
(formerly PageAhead Software), Microsoft's partner in the creation of Open
Database Connectivity (ODBC).
